Ok, I have been around guitars enough to know first act is a pretty low grade beginner guitar, saw some at target etc. Saw the little Youtube ad with Adam Lavine of Maroon5 and the guitars at target were his design. Anyway, I was thinking about getting one from online just cause they are very inexpensive, but I would obviously prefer like an epiphone or squire or something like that, but i am seriously strapped for cash. So I was reading some reviews by some people on harmonycentral.com and several have claimed they have picked up some First Act electric guitars from pawn shops for 10 bucks restrung them and set them up and were amazed and surprised at how they sounded for a cheap guitar. Those guys said they normally play Gibson Les Pauls and Telecasters, good expensive guitars. One guy even claimed he added his First Act in to his top six that he plays gigs with and his friend just gave it to him. So are they really that bad of guitar? because I have read a bunch of reviews from around the web that guys in bands that play guitars worth thousands of dollars actually like the sound from some of these “cheaper” guitars. What do you guys think?
